Kel
she/they
Kel is the research-driven, open-minded co-host of AlterNormal. A lifelong Mainer — born and raised in Dresden and Augusta — she brings deep roots and infectious enthusiasm to every topic. She lived in South Korea for a time (where she got scuba certified, naturally), and now works in criminal justice and legislation near Augusta. She's the research powerhouse of the show, diving into rabbit holes with chaotic neutral energy and emerging with stories that make you look over your shoulder. She leans believer but values skepticism too, and her French-Maine cultural heritage means she grew up hearing about the loup garou long before the podcast existed. True crime obsessive, fantasy novel reader, horror movie lover, and self-described "real life troll."
Kel brings curiosity, thorough research, and a genuine belief in the unexplained to every episode of AlterNormal. A lifelong Mainer who grew up in Dresden and Augusta, she’s got the kind of deep local roots that make ghost stories hit different. She spent time living in South Korea — got scuba certified there, because of course she did — before coming back to Maine to work in criminal justice and legislation. She’s the one who stays up until 2am reading about cults, unsolved disappearances, and obscure folklore, then shows up to recording with an infectious enthusiasm that pulls you right into the story. Her French-Maine heritage means she grew up with tales of the loup garou, and her self-described “chaotic neutral” energy keeps every episode unpredictable.
